Users of RAPA will be able to monitor the performance of their trading account in real-time, but more importantly users will be able to see in a clear and concise up to-date format the actual long and short exposure of the various positions making up their portfolio in the accounts base currency. High leverage instruments such as FX, options and futures will no longer be reflected as only premium or margin, which on their own does not convey the sensitivity of the positions and portfolio, as typically presented in the standard brokerage trading account. Without a clear understanding of the 1st & 2nd line derivatives affecting these instruments one cannot assess the respective position sizes and their contribution to the overall risk of the portfolio.
A further key feature in the management and design of the risk of a particular trade and portfolio is understanding the relationship of the underlying instrument to that of a broader market index, beta, the term used to describe this relationship is factored into the presentation of the portfolio so RAPA users can know at all times the sensitivity of their positions to the relevant market benchmark.
We include reporting ability for the fund manager or trader to report their funds performance along with comparative performance against selected benchmarks. We provide this with an industry standard template covering the usual performance metrics as well as presenting performance after accounting for management and performance fees (high-watermark). RAPA’s performance measurement template and reporting capability makes this feature on its own worth the cost of RAPA.
RAPA is more than just a risk and profit reporting tool, it ships with a list of extremely useful quantitative analytical tools which on their own make RAPA a valuable resource.
In conclusion, RAPA offers high end functionality in an Excel application to Interactive Brokers clients who wish to monitor their positions and portfolio with a sophisticated real-time risk and profit dashboard and report their performance with an automatically updated industry standard Performance Report. In addition RAPA users who are not Interactive Brokers clients can use its stand alone Monthly Performance and Analytical Tools to do further statistical research.
